Trump’s veto of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) in fiscal year 2021, which authorized 7400 Expenditure of billions and outlines the policies of the Pentagon.
The next step of the bill will be voted on by the Senate.
On December 8, the Defense Authorization Act passed the U.S. House of Representatives by 335 votes to 78 against, and then passed it in the Senate by 83 votes to 14 against on the 11th.
Ten days after the bill arrived at the White House, Trump officially exercised the veto power on December 23 to return the bill to the House of Representatives where it was proposed.
According to the regulations, after the President of the United States exercises the veto power, if the United States votes again and passes the bill by an absolute majority of more than two-thirds in both houses of Representatives, it can overturn the presidential veto power and bring the bill into force.
