Taiwan’s “Economic Daily News” reported on December 29 that Wistron’s iPhone assembly plant in Narasapura, India, was shut down due to riots.
According to Indian media reports, Karnataka Labor Minister Shivaram Hebbar said , Is expected to restart production in the next 20 days and resume full operations.
On December 20, in response to Apple’s suspension of placing new orders to Wistron, Wistron announced on the Taiwan Stock Exchange that the company’s policy is not to comment on business relationships with customers.
The announcement also stated that regarding the riot in the Narasapura plant in India, the company has cooperated with relevant local government agencies to investigate and continue to negotiate with insurance companies, and will also cooperate with customers to improve and resume work plans.
