In the early morning of the 28th, local time, the spokesman of the Egyptian Ministry of Local Development, Qassem, revealed that so far, the number of closed commercial places in all provinces of the country has reached 11,608 due to violations of the new operating hours of public commercial facilities.
The closed sites include 4,938 shops, 34 markets, 216 restaurants, 3,480 cafes, 1,829 workshops and 1,111 shops of all kinds, Qassem said.
Qassem stressed that all stores, restaurants and commercial centers must strictly abide by the new business hours of commercial facilities so as to operate in an orderly manner without disturbing people.
The Ministry of Local Development urges all provinces of the country to resolutely implement these provisions, strengthen the crackdown on illegal business premises, carry out regular surprise inspections, and take the necessary legal measures against violators.
