December 27th, local time, Poland launched the COVID-19 vaccination.
Alicia Yakubowska, chief nurse at Central Clinical Hospital of the Ministry of the Interior and Administration of Poland, became the first person to be vaccinated against the novel coronavirus in Poland.
The first batch of vaccines arrived in Poland is about 10,000 doses, which have been distributed to 72 hospitals across the country, and medical staff are the first to be vaccinated.
It is expected that Poland will receive a total of 1.5 million doses of vaccine by the end of January next year.
