In 2016, after former U.S. President Obama stepped down, a poll also conducted by USA Today and Suffolk University showed that 23% of Americans thought history would rank Obama as a “failed” president, and 32% said that he would be remembered as a “good” president.
“The lack of compassion over the last four years, doing nothing but to advance the personal interests of President Trump and his friends, allies and family, I may not have seen a worse president in my life,” said Barbert Salus, a retired lawyer from Illinois and Biden supporter. “
The poll also found that there are still a large number of fans who continue to support Trump. According to the survey, if Trump is nominated as the Republican presidential candidate for 2024, more than 70% of Republicans will vote for him.
In the case of the November U.S. election, unsurprisingly, respondents have obvious partisan differences, with 78% of Republicans saying they don’t think the election results are legitimate, while 96% of Democrats believe Biden is legally elected.
When asked about Trump’s potential for re-election in 2024, 71 percent of Republicans said they would vote for Trump if he was a Republican candidate, another 16 percent said they would consider it, and only 10% said they would not vote for him.
While the overwhelming majority of Republicans said they questioned the fact that Biden legally won the 2020 election, the number of Republicans willing to deny the election results seemed to have declined slightly.
In mid-November, a poll conducted by The Economist and YouGov found that up to 88% of Americans who voted for Trump believe Biden did not legally win the election, compared with only 2% of Biden voters. In addition, the survey also found that 79% of Republican voters said that the president should not conceive in the election. In a December 24 poll, 57% of registered Republican voters believe that Trump should refuse to give in.
However, a topic that voters of both parties seem to agree with is that Trump should attend Joe Biden’s inauguration on January 20. 65% of Democrats and 62% of Republicans think Trump should be present in person.
