Doha, December 19 The Central Bank of Qatar began to issue a fifth set of banknotes on the 18th. Among them, the design printed on the banknotes with a denomination of Qatari rials (US dollar is about 3.64 Qatari rials) contains the main body of Qatar’s 2022 World Cup contracted by Chinese enterprises.

According to Mohammed Kuwari, an official of the Central Bank of Qatar, the new currency will be issued in stages. Until March 19, 2021, Qatar allowed the old currency to continue to circulate; after that, the old currency has been banned, but the holder can exchange the equivalent of new currency with the Central Bank of Qatar for 10 years.
Compared with the old coin, the new coin has the characteristics of more beautiful and anti-counterfeiting.
In November 2016, China Railway Construction International Group Co., Ltd. (China Railway Construction) won the bid for the construction project of the main stadium of the 2022 Qatar World Cup, with a total contract value of 2.8 billion Qatari rials.
Located about 15 kilometers north of Doha, the capital of Qatar, the stadium can hold 92,000 spectators after completion. It will undertake important activities and events such as the opening, closing ceremony and final of the 2022 World Cup.
