Reuters reported on December 17 that Britain and the United States signed a customs procedure agreement on Wednesday to ensure smooth trade between the two countries after Brexit completely by the end of the year.
Jesse Norman, Finance Secretary of the British Treasury, said: “This is an important agreement to ensure the continuity of Britain after leaving the EU and highlight the strong customs relations between the United States and the United Kingdom.
The agreement will allow us to continue to cooperate in combating customs crime by sharing information and good practices, and provide legal support for plans to reduce trade flows for importers and exporters.”
