In the final debate on November 26, Bai Shifang’s lawyer said that Bai Shi killed after obtaining the consent of the victim, and the prosecution said that all the victims resisted, believing that Bai Shi’s crime was “one thousand dead enough” and asked for the death penalty.
Nao Kuni Yano, the presiding judge of the court, said in his judgment that none of the nine killings were “commited to kill” after obtaining the consent of the victim, and found that Shiraishi had the capacity for criminal responsibility.

From 2017 to now, a total of 23 hearings have been held on the case, and 30-year-old Takahiro Shiraishi pleaded guilty to all charges in court. But his lawyers argued that the charges against Shiraishi should be mitigated and the death penalty should be avoided, because those victims agreed to be killed, which became the main point of controversy in the trial.
On the 15th, the Tokyo District Court sentenced Takahiro Shiraishi to death for robbery and murder. The prosecution said that all the victims had resisted before being killed and did not consent to be killed.
Naoshi Yano, the presiding judge of the Tachikawa Branch of the Tokyo District Court, also said that the victim did not consent to the killing, and the defendant was fully responsible and agreed to the death penalty demand of the prosecution.
