December 12th – According to CNN, on the 11th local time, the U.S. Department of Justice executed two African-American criminals.
The incident caused heated discussion in the United States.
CNN said that on the 11th local time, two black criminals in the United States, Brandon Bernard and Alfred Bourgeois, were executed for injection within 24 hours.
In addition, three more people will be executed, including two African-descendants, before the new president takes office on January 20, 2021.
Since U.S. Attorney General Barr announced the resumption of the death penalty in July 2019, Bourgeois has been the tenth criminal to be executed.
The incident has caused controversy in American public opinion, and some critics believe that more people have been executed for African-American offenders than white people in the past decades.
