Previously, the Eiffel Tower had confirmed to reopen to the public at 10:30 a.m. on December 16, and the ticketing began early.
On the evening of the 10th, the French government adjusted the “unblocking” plan, and decided to postpone the reopening of public cultural places such as cinemas, theaters and museums from December 15 to at least January 7 next year.
In an interview with the media on the 11th, French Minister of Culture Bashlo said that if the venues were reopened on December 15 and forced to close in January next year, it would be a stifling of the cultural industry.
French President Macron, who was also attending the EU summit in Brussels on the same day, also said that such an adjustment was legitimate and moderate.
