According to the plan, priority will be given to providing vaccination services for people at high risk of infection such as medical personnel and the elderly involved in the fight against the epidemic. The Mexican Ministry of Defense and Navy will participate in the custody and distribution of vaccines.
The first vaccinations will be carried out in the capital Mexico City and the northern state of Coahuila, and national coverage of vaccination is expected to be achieved in March 2022, Lopez-Gatelli said.
