On the 6th local time, Iranian President Rouhani said that he had asked Iran’s Ministry of Oil to take all necessary measures to prepare for increasing crude oil production and export volume “in the next three months”.
Rouhani said that before US President Trump withdrew from the comprehensive agreement on the Iranian nuclear issue, Iran exported more than 2 million barrels of crude oil a day on average.
According to reports, Iran’s single-day crude oil exports reached 2.8 million barrels in 2018, but now it is less than 300,000 barrels. U.S. President-elect Biden said in his campaign that he would return to the Iran nuclear agreement.
