The Hill reported on the 6th local time that U.S. Defense Department officials revealed to CNN that members of President-elect Biden’s transition team will begin to receive briefings from Pentagon intelligence agencies on Monday (7th) local time.
“They will meet with the Defense Department intelligence agencies on Monday (7th) and Tuesday (8th),” a senior Defense Department official told CNN.
The Hill also mentioned that the Trump administration had previously been reported that the Trump administration had blocked Biden team members from meeting with DoD intelligence agencies, but the U.S. Department of Defense denied its claim that it was “blocking such efforts” and instead pointed the finger at “obvious delays in Biden’s transition team”.
