The body of the missing person was found in the sinking of a migrant ship in the Greek waters, killing two people.
According to Greek media reports, on December 3rd local time, search and rescuers found the body of a Somali female immigrant on a rocky beach in the eastern part of Lesbos, Greece. It was the second victim in the sinking of an immigrant ship in the northeast waters of Lesbos in the early morning of the 2nd.
In the early morning of December 2, a small boat carrying migrants crashed and sank in the northeast waters of Lesbos Island. The Greek Coast Guard, the Greek military and the European Union Border and Coast Guard sent three patrol boats and two aircraft to rescue.
Fifteen men, 14 women and three children were rescued, but two women were missing. Searchers found the body of the first missing person that afternoon. The migrants carried by this small boat are all Somalis.
Thirty-two rescued people have been transferred to the Kara Tepe refugee camp in the eastern part of Lesbos and are arranged in a closed area for two weeks of quarantine.
