Russia expresses concern about NATO’s increased military presence in the Black Sea
Moscow, December 3rd Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Zaharova said on the 3rd that Russia is worried about NATO’s strengthening of its military presence in the Black Sea region.
At a press conference of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the 3rd, Zaharova said that NATO has continuously intensified its activities in the waters of the Black Sea, frequently sent naval vessels into the waters of the Black Sea, and its reconnaissance aircraft, drones and other flights to the Russian border more and more.
She said that NATO also deployed strategic offensive weapons in Bulgaria and Romania, conducted military exercises to simulate attacks on Russian territory, and coaxed Ukraine and Georgia to contain Russia.
Zaharova said that Russia was deeply worried about NATO’s various behaviors, and Russia would have to take countermeasures. She said that the emergence of new “game participants” in the Black Sea region and “manifestly malicious participants” destabilized the Black Sea region.
