Ukraine Foreign Minister: Ukraine hopes to hold more NATO exercises in its territory
Russian satellite news agency on December 3, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said on the 2nd that the Ukrainian government plans to hold more joint exercises with NATO in the country.
After the diplomatic agency-level meeting of the NATO North Atlantic Council, with the participation of Ukraine and Georgia, Dmytro Kuleba said: “Obviously, NATO will be more involved in ensuring the security of the Black Sea.
I also said that Ukraine hopes to cooperate more with NATO and hold more NATO exercises in Ukraine. Dmytro Kuleba posted relevant videos on Facebook.
Dmytro Kuleba also pointed out that Ukraine is still seeking to become a member of NATO.
Earlier, Ukraine became the sixth country to obtain NATO’s capacity enhancement partner status, after Australia, Finland, Georgia, Jordan and Sweden.
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (Parliament) amended two laws in December 2014 to renounce the status of a non-aligned state. In June 2016, a supplementary amendment was adopted, which will include the North Agreement as the goal of the national foreign policy.
In February 2019, the Ukrainian Parliament passed another constitutional amendment, consolidating the accession policy of the European Union and NATO.
