Overseas Network, December 2 – U.S. media recently reported that Trump colleagues are appealing to Trump to be pardoned before he leaves office, including Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani. However, Giuliani denied this claim on the 1st, saying that he had never talked to White House personnel about pardoning him.
According to the New York Times, CNN and other media reports, some sources revealed that his colleagues of current US President Trump are seeking pardon from him and hope to find it before Trump leaves office. The list of people who preempted to request pardon from prosecution includes Trump’s personal lawyer Giuliani. Giuliani has been leading the Trump team to launch a legal war in an attempt to overthrow the U.S. election results.
However, Giuliani posted on social media on Tuesday (1st) local time that “The New York Times is lying again” and denied that he had talked to anyone in the White House about pardoning himself.
Giuliani is under investigation by federal prosecutors and his deal in Ukraine on behalf of Trump’s team’s political interests is closely monitored, according to Politico. Giuliani said that he was not worried about the investigation, “because I didn’t do anything wrong”.
On November 25, Trump announced a pardon for all charges of former President’s National Security Assistant Michael Flynn. Flynn is one of the key targets of the U.S. Department of Justice Special Attorney Miller’s “Russia” investigation.
