According to Albanian media reports, a 60-year-old male with severe COVID-19 committed suicide at 3 a.m. local time on November 30 in a hospital in the capital Tirana.
According to the introduction, the patient was diagnosed with COVID-19 10 days ago and entered the intensive care unit of the hospital on November 29.
He originally suffered from other basic diseases. In the early morning of November 30, he jumped from the window of the ward and caused a tragedy. After the incident, the local police rushed to the hospital and questioned the relevant medical staff in addition to the investigation site.
According to the introduction, this is the fifth suicide of a COVID-19 patient in an Albanian hospital. At present, the local prosecutor’s office is investigating the process and cause of suicide in the first four patients.
