December 1st – On November 30th local time, Shamhani, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, confirmed at the funeral of the late nuclear scientist Fakrizad that the scientist died in a complex long-range assassination operation, and there was no killer at the scene. He also pointed out that Iran has already known the people who planned the attack and their background.
According to the British Guardian and Iran’s Tasnim News Agency on November 30, Sharmani told the Iranian media: “This operation is very complicated and uses electronic equipment. There was no killer at the scene. He also mentioned that Iran has found clues about the attack: “We already know clearly who planned the attack and their background. The People’s Mujahideen Organization of Iran is definitely involved, and this action must also be in the presence of the Zionist regime and Mossad.
Shamhani also mentioned that Iran’s enemies have been seeking to assassinate Fakrizad for the past 20 years, and said that the country’s intelligence system “exactly predicted the possibility of an attack on the nuclear scientist and the possible location of the incident”, but this time did not take into account the severity, because the attack could occur in 20 years. The frequency of reports of students is very high.
On November 27th local time, Iran’s senior nuclear scientist Fakrizad was attacked near the capital Tehran and died after unsuccessful rescue. On the 28th, Iran’s Supreme Leader Khamenei tweeted a strong condemnation of the killing of Iranian nuclear scientist Muhsin Fakrizad, calling for “clear punishment” for those behind the killing of Fakrizad. Khamenei also promised retaliation and said that the relevant nuclear work carried out by Fakrizad would continue. On the 30th, the Iranian side held a funeral for Fakrizad, attended by Iranian Defense Minister and other senior officials.
