A volcano erupted in eastern Indonesia, and there were no reports of injuries or property losses.
Jakarta, November 29 Mount Ilivolotoloko erupted on the morning of the 29th in the Lombata region of East Nusa Tenggara Province, Indonesia, ejecting as high as 4,000 meters of volcanic ash columns. At present, no casualties and property damage have been reported.
Indonesia’s Volcanic and Geological Disaster Mitigation Agency said on the same day that the columns of volcanic ash ejected from Mount Ililevotoloko were grayish and spreading around. Recording instruments show that the eruption lasted for 10 minutes.
The agency reminds residents and tourists not to approach dangerous areas within two kilometers of the radius of the volcanic peak.
Indonesia is one of the most volcanic countries in the world, with 129 active volcanoes in the territory.
