February 9th local time, according to the latest data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, at least 944 cases of the first-discovered coronavirus variant strain in the United Kingdom, South Africa and Brazil have been confirmed in the United States.
According to the data, 932 cases were infected with the first coronavirus variant strain in the United Kingdom.
So far, 34 states have found the variant strain, including 343 confirmed cases in Florida, 156 cases in California and 59 cases in New York.
Nine cases were infected with the first detected strain of COVID-19 B.1.351, including 6 confirmed cases in Maryland, 2 in South Carolina and 1 in Virginia.
Three cases were infected with the first coronavirus variant strain found in Brazil, including two in Minnesota and one in Oklahoma (the first in the state).
