According to a report by Yonhap News Agency on January 6, the Central Epidemic Prevention and Response Headquarters of South Korea reported on the 6th that as of 00:00 on the same day, South Korea had 840 new confirmed cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) compared with 00:00 the previous day, with a total of 65,818 confirmed cases.

The number of new cases in a single day increased by 125 compared with the previous day, but the number of cases was less than 1,000 for two consecutive days. On the same day, 809 were community-infected and 31 imported cases were added.

In addition, 20 new deaths were added on the same day, with a total of 1,027 deaths.
