January 24th, local time, the South African Ministry of Health confirmed 8,147 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 that day, with a total of 1,412,986 confirmed cases; 300 new deaths, with a total of 40,874 deaths; and a total of 1,230,520 cases cured.

So far, 7,993,126 people have been tested for the novel coronavirus nationwide in South Africa, and 46,119 new people have been tested on the same day.
