8.8 million minks in Denmark infected area were killed
November 16 Denmark Radio and Television (DR) reported that data from the Denmark Veterinary and Food Administration showed that there are now 8.8 million minks within a radius of 7.8 kilometers from farms and infected areas infected by Coronavirus.
There are about 10.3 million minks in these farms, which is equivalent to 85% of minks killed.
However, it is illegal to kill healthy mink outside the infected area.
At present, denmark soldiers have been sent to perform a “special” task, that is, to count the number of healthy mink killed outside the infected area to ensure that there are documents to prove that the breeders are compensated.
The Danish government is discussing compensation for mink breeders.
