6.5 Million Euros Stolen From German Customs Office
November 11 France-Presse, recently, a theft occurred in a customs office in Duisburg, Germany.
Investigators said on November 11 that three suspects broke in and stole 6.5 million euros in cash.
At present, investigators have launched a hunt for the three.
The theft took place on November 1.
The police issued a statement stating: “This illegal break-in (incident) was professionally
planned and implemented: three unidentified perpetrators used electric drills from the basement of the building.
In an adjacent room, I entered the vault.”
Witnesses said that the sound of drilling was heard around 6 o’clock that morning.
About 3 hours later, people saw three men wearing dark clothes and dark knit hats entering and exiting the building and
loading their items into a white van. After that, they left the scene in a van.
Another witness noticed that a man was walking around the customs office there
and then he drove away from the scene in the same direction.
The police released photos of the man taken by witnesses and
offered a reward of 100,000 euros for clues.
