According to the People’s Daily, Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare said on December 25 that the first patient infected with mutant novel coronavirus was diagnosed in Japan.

Japan Broadcasting Association TV said that after sampling and testing the samples of five patients infected with the novel coronavirus at the airport quarantine, they found that they were infected with the mutant novel coronavirus found in the UK.
