According to Reuters, on Thursday, Google faced its third major lawsuit in two months, in which 38 states and territories accused the $1 trillion company of abusing its market power to try to dominate its search engines in the automotive, television and speaker fields as in the mobile phone fields.
Over the years, Google and other large technology companies, including Facebook and Amazon, have been accused of using their huge market power to attack competitors in pursuit of profits.
These states require the court to rule that Google has violated the antitrust law and order the termination of any agreement or other behavior it deems exclusive. It raises the possibility of requesting the sale of assets, but does not elaborate on it.
