According to Greek media reports, in the early morning of December 2, local time, a ship carrying a large number of immigrants was distressed in the waters near Lesbos Island, Greece.
The Greek Coast Guard and the European Union Border Police sent two and one patrol boats to the scene to rescue, and Greece also sent a helicopter to participate in the search and rescue operation, which later rescued 32 immigrants.
