New York Governor Andrew Cuomo announced on a media conference call on January 9 local time that three new cases of the coronavirus variant virus were added in the state.
Cuomo said two of these cases were linked to a case previously found in Saratoga County, New York (the first in the state), and the other case came from Nassau County, which is a 64-year-old local man.
According to data released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on January 8, at least 63 cases of COVID-19 mutant virus infection have been found in eight states in the United States.
For this reason, many health experts say that the actual number of patients infected with mutant COVID-19 may be higher than the current number.
