Dakar, October 29 A serious traffic accident involving a collision between a refrigerated truck and a bus occurred in northwestern Senegal on the 29th, causing 16 deaths and at least 53 injuries, of which 5 were seriously injured.
The Ministry of Land Transport said that at around 1 am on the 29th, a refrigerated truck driving towards Dakar and a passenger bus driving towards the northern city of Saint-Louis at the exit of Pute Town on National Highway 2 Collide. Preliminary investigation revealed that the cause of the accident was that refrigerated trucks changed lanes and overtaken illegally.
