According to Zambia’s National Broadcasting Corporation on January 4th local time, Zambian President Lungu has warned that if the people in Zambia do not comply with the country’s pandemic prevention regulations, the government may be forced to take stricter pandemic control measures.
Lengu pointed out that he was paying close attention to the current pandemic situation in Zambia and expressed concern about the recent surge in the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Zambia due to the public’s non-strictly strict public health regulations.
Lungu said that the Zan government is planning to introduce the coronavirus vaccine in February this year, and there are international standards and certification systems to pre-qualify the coronavirus vaccine.
In addition, Lungu has urged opposition parties not to spread false information about the coronavirus vaccine and has advised Zambians to be vaccinated after all pre-qualifications for the coronavirus vaccine.
