According to a report by the Zambian National Broadcasting Corporation on February 20, local time, the Zambian government’s plan to build an oxygen plant in the country’s Copper Belt Province for $1 million is already under way.

Zambia’s health minister Jonas Chanda said the hospital demand for oxygen is increasing due to the second coronavirus outbreak, and the new oxygen plant will hopefully meet the hospital’s oxygen demand.

It is reported that as of February 20, local time, Zambia has a total of 73,894 confirmed cases of COVID-19, a total of 66,94 cured cases and 1,016 deaths.
