According to Bloomberg and Reuters, Google’s parent company Alphabet Company, said on the 26th local time that YouTube temporarily blocked the “partner plan” of former President Trump lawyer Giuliani on the platform last week because it repeatedly shared misinformation about the “presidential election”.
Bloomberg said that YouTube said on the same day that the restriction had been in effect last week.
YouTube also said that the company suspended its “partner program” for at least 30 days because Giuliani repeatedly shared misinformation about the 2020 presidential election.
According to the YouTube website, video creators can use the program to profit from YouTube through videos.
The report said that this means that Giuliani can no longer profit from the platform through his video advertisements.
Alphabet Inc. also mentioned that if Giuliani resolves the issue, he can reapply for the “Partner Program” after 30 days.
