Aden International Airport is located in the southern city of Aden, Yemen, which is a military-civilian airport.

On December 30, three consecutive violent explosions occurred at Aden International Airport, causing many deaths and injuries.

At the time of the explosion, many government officials were welcoming cabinet members of the new coalition government returning from Saudi Arabia at the airport.
