November 6 President Xi Jinping held the “Medal of Friendship” award ceremony of the People’s Republic of China in the Great Hall of the People on the 6th for the Queen Mother Monineath of Cambodia.
Wang Huning, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, secretary of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, and director of the Party and National Meritorious Commendation Committee, attended the ceremony.

At the beginning of the ceremony, the honor guards of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army marched into the venue, boarded the awarding platform, and lined up on both sides.

For more than 60 years, the Queen Mother Monineath has actively devoted himself to the cause of friendship between China and Cambodia and has witnessed the development of New China.
The Queen Mother Monineath has special feelings for the Chinese people and actively supports exchanges and cooperation between the two countries in various fields, and has made outstanding contributions to promoting the development of China-Cambodia relations and enhancing the friendship between the two peoples.
Xi Jinping emphasized that since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Cambodia 62 years ago, the two sides have always supported and helped each other, forged an unbreakable “hardcore” friendship, and became a strategically significant community with a shared future.
The relationship between the two countries has withstood various tests and can be called a model of state-to-state exchanges.
