The Turkish Ministry of Health issued an announcement on the 13th local time, approving the emergency use of the Kelafu coronavirus vaccine of Beijing Kexing Zhongwei Biotechnology Co., Ltd. in China.
This is Turkey’s first coronavirus vaccine approved for emergency use. After more than 1 million medical personnel are vaccinated, the vaccination plan will also cover people living in nursing homes, people aged 65 and above, and people working in special fields.
Turkey has received the first batch of 3 million doses of vaccine from China at the end of December 2020 and aims to get more vaccines in the future.
