Will Trump be expelled?

Former President Donald Trump has been living at Mar-a-Lago since leaving office – a possible violation of his 1993 agreement with Palm Beach, the Associated Press reported on January 28.

According to the agreement, he stayed there for no more than seven consecutive days.

“Palm Beach is studying options, and the matter could be discussed at the February meeting of the town council,” Mayor Kirk Braun said in an email on January 28.

In December 2020, the South Florida town received a letter from an attorney representing Mar-a-Lago neighbors asking him to enforce the residency provisions of the agreement — even if it was done very few times during or before Trump’s presidency.

The unnamed neighbor believes that Trump’s residence will reduce the value of the property, the letter said.

According to the report, in 2019, Trump and former First Lady Melania Trump changed their residence from New York City to Mar-a-Lago.

His newly established former president’s office recently passed the issue to the Trump Group, a business entity of the Trump family, which did not respond.

The Trump Group issued a statement in December 2020 saying, “There is no existing document or agreement prohibiting President Trump from using Mar-a-a-Lago as his residence.

Trump also owns two properties near Mar-a-Lago.
