On the 10th local time, the weekly epidemiological report of Coronavirus pandemic released by the WHO showed that there were 3,690,495 new confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide last week, an increase of 8% from the previous week, and 54835 new deaths, an increase from the previous week twenty one%. 

The European region still accounts for the highest proportion of new confirmed cases and new deaths. 54% of new confirmed cases and 47% of new deaths in the world are from the European region.

 The Western Pacific Region had the highest increase in the number of new cases last week, an increase of 19% from the previous week. The Eastern Mediterranean Region and the European Region also increased the number of new cases last week by 18% and 11%.

The highest increase in the number of new deaths last week was in the European Region (44%), the African Region (30%) and the Eastern Mediterranean Region (23%).

Only the Western Pacific Region saw a decrease in the number of new deaths last week. The five countries with the largest number of reported cases in the world last week were the United States, France, India, Italy and the United Kingdom.
