White House insider: Trump still does not intend to publicly accept the election results

According to CNN local time on the 14th, a White House person familiar with the president said that although the electoral college vote has laid the foundation for Biden’s victory, Trump has not made progress towards open acceptance of the election results.

On the 14th local time, the U.S. Electoral College held a vote.

According to several American media reports, Biden has won the U.S. election with 270 votes. According to the United States Constitution and constitutional amendments, presidential candidates can be elected with more than half of the electoral votes, or 270 votes.

Some White House advisers pointed out that Trump privately admitted that he would not be re-elected at the White House, despite his attempt to overturn the election results in court and raise funds.

Another White House adviser also mocked the suggestions of some Republican officials, including Stephen Miller, a White House assistant to domestic policy, who suggested that Republicans submit a “alternate” list of electors to Congress on January 6 for statistics.

The adviser said that people close to Trump still believe that Trump’s presence at Biden’s inauguration is very unlikely. “He won’t,” the adviser said of current thoughts within Trump’s circle of allies.
