When can the American people get Coronavirus vaccine? Fauci: Maybe next April

November 13th. According to reports from CNN and Business Insider, Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said in an interview on Tuesday (9th) that Coronavirus vaccine may be available next year.

Available to all Americans.

Fauci also said that any available vaccine will be provided first to front-line medical staff, followed by the elderly and other vulnerable groups. Ordinary Americans may have to wait for some time to get vaccinated.

On the 9th local time, Pfizer announced that its new coronavirus vaccine developed in cooperation with a German biotechnology company has succeeded in the final stage of clinical trials, which is a milestone in the global vaccine competition.

However, Fauci did not specifically mention Pfizer in the interview. He expects that the US government will start providing vaccines as early as late November.

US media reported that even if Pfizer’s Coronavirus vaccine trial has achieved encouraging early results, there are still major challenges and unresolved problems before ordinary Americans can take action.

Pfizer’s Coronavirus vaccine is a new technology that has never been used in large-scale human vaccination before. Experts warn that people still know little about its safety, effective time, and beneficiary population.
