February 12th local time, Governor Andrews of Victoria, Australia, announced an emergency “state closure” for five days to trace the source and transmission route of the virus and prevent the further spread of the pandemic.

This follows several confirmed cases of COVID-19, including hotel staff, found in quarantine hotels near Melbourne Airport, Australia.
