Among the 10 provinces, the most serious outbreak caused by Variant coronavirus occurred in Newfoundland and Labrado, the vast majority of the 297 confirmed cases in the province are Variant COVID-19.
This number accounts for half of the Variant coronavirus cases across Canada.
As of February 14, Canada had a total of 825,785 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 21,291 deaths from COVID-19 or related diseases.
At present, the number of new cases per day has dropped to less than 3,000, and the number of new deaths per day has also dropped to less than 70.
The number of COVID-19 hospitalizations nationwide was 2,341, and 579 were in intensive care.
