April 8 Recently, an unexplained disease has appeared in Andhra Pradesh, southeastern India. At present, four people have died and nearly 100 people have been hospitalized. Indian officials have now launched an investigation.

According to the New India Express, after the outbreak of the disease, it was suspected that it was contaminated drinking water, but Indian health officials visited the outbreak site recently, collected local sampled water quoted and sent them for analysis. The analysis results show that the local drinking water has been properly treated and not polluted.

Indian health officials suspect the outbreak is linked to adulterated food, while instructing local governments to regularly clean water storage tanks to ensure that drinking water is safe.
