According to AFP, the United Nations said in a statement on the 25th that three Burundian peacekeepers in the Central African Republic were killed and two others were injured by “unidentified armed combatants”.

The statement said that the United Nations peacekeeping forces and the Central African defense and security forces were attacked, which took place in Dekoa in central Kaimo State in Central Africa and Bakuma in the southern Mbomou State, but no more details were provided at present.

The announcement came after the United Nations announced the lifting of the previous unilateral ceasefire by armed groups that had fought against the Central African government.
