Ukrainian government forces used large-caliber artillery in eastern Ukraine for the first time since July 2020.

April 3rd, local time, according to the Russian Ingenham News Agency, the Ukrainian armed forces used large-caliber artillery to shell civilian armed forces in eastern Russia and Ukraine for the first time since July 2020.

Citing the so-called Republic of Luhansk, the news agency said that the URA used 122mm artillery to open fire on civilian armed positions deployed near Luhansk.

Civilian armed forces were forced to use artillery to fight back. At the time of press release, there were no reports of casualties caused by the exchange of fire between the two sides.

In July 2020, the two sides of the Eastern Ukraine conflict exchanged fire and the two sides achieved a ceasefire, and the two sides no longer used large-caliber artillery to launch shelling.
