U.S. Olympic gold medalist prosecuted for alleged involvement in the impact on the Capitol

According to the U.S. THE Hill, on January 13 local time, U.S. swimmer and Olympic champion Clyte Keller was indicted for his involvement in the impact on the Capitol on January 6.

In a criminal indictment filed by the Federal District Court of Washington, Keller was charged with intentionally entering or staying in a restricted building, engaging in disorderly in the Capitol, and obstructing law enforcement.

According to court documents, the police found a man wearing an Olympic U.S. team uniform from the media video on the day of the riot.

After investigation, it was determined that the man was Keller.

It is reported that the 38-year-old Keller has been a member of the three-time Olympic team of the United States and won the gold medal in the freestyle relay at the 2004 Athens Olympics and the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
