U.S. House of Representatives approves the budget coordination plan of the coronavirus relief bill

According to the Hill, on February 3 local time, the U.S. House of Representatives approved a budget coordination plan by 218 votes to 212.

The resolution would allow Congress to pass a $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief bill without Republican support.

According to reports, the plan still needs to be passed by the Senate to prevent Republicans in the Senate from obstructing the relief bill.

So far, Republicans in the United States have still expressed opposition to this plan.

They said that the $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief bill seems too expensive and not highly targeted given other relief measures approved by Congress.

And using budget coordination programs to push the bill undermined Biden’s promise of “two-party cooperation and solidarity.”
