U.S. Department of Justice withdraws lawsuit against Yale University Admissions Discrimination case

3rd February local time, the U.S. Department of Justice voluntarily withdrew the previous lawsuit against Yale University admissions for alleged racial discrimination.

During the Trump administration last October, the U.S. Department of Justice sued Yale University for discrimination against Asians and whites in the undergraduate admission process based on evidence provided by many Asian parents and students, claiming that “Yale University will take into account the applicant’s ethnicity and country of origin every year when admitting freshmen.

Hundreds of students are unfair.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Justice Department said it had decided to drop the lawsuit against Yale University for alleged discrimination in admission of freshmen “based on the facts, environment and legal processes currently in place.”

However, the DOJ investigation into whether Yale University complies with all federal anti-discrimination laws continues.
