According to the Anadolu News Agency, on January 3, local time, two explosions occurred in the town of Ballad in the central Shabelle region of southern Somalia, killing at least three people and injuring eight others.
The first attack killed two civilians and the second attack killed one soldier.
The wounded soldiers were transferred to a hospital in the capital Mogadishu for treatment. At present, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
