According to a report by Russia’s Interfax on the 14th, the Russian Direct Investment Foundation (RDIF) said that the official Twitter account of Russia’s coronavirus vaccine “Sputnik V” was blocked for no reason.

”Sputnik V’ account @sputnikvaccine has been blocked,” the foundation said in a statement released Thursday. We are investigating the reason. The foundation asked fans of the account to contact Twitter to resume access to the account.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Zakharova said he hoped that the official account of Russian vaccines could be unblocked as soon as possible. On Thursday night local time, Zakharova wrote on Facebook: “The Russian vaccine ‘Sputnik V’ account was blocked by Twitter. I hope they can lift the blockade as soon as possible.

Otherwise, Twitter platforms for this period will be enshrined in American history as a “propaganda tool for the service of the liberal dictatorship of the United States”.

According to the Russian Direct Investment Foundation, which invests in the development of the “Sputnik V” vaccine, said: “Through Twitter, we have been publicly sharing all the information about this vaccine and how it works.

Earlier, via Twitter, we proposed to AstraZeneca a component of the “Sputnik V” vaccine and agreed to a joint clinical trial.”

On August 11 last year, Russia registered the first coronavirus vaccine named Sputnik V. The vaccine was developed by the National Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology of “Gamarea”.

On January 7, after supporters of U.S. President Trump stormed the Capitol, Facebook and Twitter announced a temporary freeze on Trump’s account.

Facebook founder Zuckerberg later announced that in view of the current situation, he decided to extend the freeze of Trump’s Facebook and Instagram accounts indefinitely until at least the end of President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration on January 20. And Trump’s Twitter account was soon permanently banned.

On January 13, YouTube, a video sharing social media platform in the United States, also suspended the update function of the official channel of US President Trump.
